Summary

Director of IT Business System Support

Location:  Spartanburg, SC

Position Summary

The Director of IT Business System Support position is responsible for the strategy, planning, design, implementation, and support of the organization Business applications. This includes developing the IT strategy in alignment with functional leaders and developing business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements.

The Director will define and drive the transformation initiatives planned for SRHS. The Director will provide strong leadership so that we can leverage our IT investments through greater efficiency and quality by using technology to drive greater effectiveness resulting in superior customer satisfaction and to achieve the key business objectives.

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Experience

  • Required 10 years of senior level IT related experience
  • Required 5 - 10 years senior level Epic Business Applications Support Management of multiple teams/modules

  • Master’s degree

Preferred Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of related IT experience

Core Job Responsibilities

  • IT strategy and execution.
  • Manage daily activities of assigned IT Managers.
  • Ensure assigned IT Managers understand and follow SRHS policies and procedures in respect to employee relations, business operations and budgeting/financial transactions.
  • Develop employee engagement initiatives and activities effectively aimed to maintain at or above organizational employee engagement goals.
  • In coordination with IT Director Clinical Systems Support and System Director, develop plans to maintain and improve Epic Gold Stars level.
  • In coordination with IT Director Clinical Systems Support and System Director, develop plans to maintain and improve Epic Honor Roll recognition.
  • In coordination with IT Director Clinical Systems Support and System Director, develop plans and maintain organizational CHIME Digital Health Most Wired recognition.
  • In coordination with IT Director Clinical Systems Support and System Director, develop and align IT strategies and roadmaps with assigned IT Managers and business operational stakeholders Develop and align IT strategies and roadmaps with assigned IT Managers and business operational stakeholders.
  • Direct the development of any new software integration and manage internal systems integration to meet functional requirements and interface specifications.
  • Successful execution of the applications project portfolio to implement, enhance, and update SRHS applications.
  • Support of existing and future implemented business applications across SRHS operations
  • Assure effective communications are maintained within area of direct responsibility, the IT department and externally; where appropriate involve assigned IT Managers and their assigned employees in plans, and keep assigned IT Managers and their assigned employees up to date on progress towards meeting goals.
  • Review and analyze existing applications effectiveness and efficiency, and then develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems.
  • Attract, develop, and retain a high performing business applications team to meet the current and evolving needs of the business through effective selection, training, and development, coaching and mentoring and performance management.
  • Serve as coach and mentor for assigned IT Managers, assigned associates and all IT staff in support of IT’s transformation to become a true business partner.
  • Facilitate and support SRHS change programs as needed to improve efficiencies and functionality through IT solutions.
  • Continuous monitoring and as needed reporting of IT risk management and compliance
  • Ensure data privacy, financial controls, and other standard regulations for business applications to maintain proper compliance to SRHS procedures.
  • Identify and mitigate critical IT risks to SRHS business and applications.
  • Support and ensure compliance to global IT policies and security programs.
  • Manage the capital IT budget and spend for business application implementation projects.
  • Manage the operating IT spend and budget forecasting for the support of business applications.
  • Manage third party vendors used in the implementation and support for applications.
  • Work with other SRHS leadership to help identify cost savings opportunities.
  • Serve as the lead for strategic business application projects.
  • Manage the portfolio of overview of projects and maintain alignment with key business priorities.
  • Participates IT Governance strategies in close coordination with operational leadership teams.
