FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $63.32 - $101.31 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary:

Directs the department's activities and resources to ensure alignment with the mission, values, and objectives of the department and organization.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Plan, direct, and manage the overall financial performance, financial policies, internal controls, accounting practices, budgets, and financial reporting for the assigned entities.
  • Develop consistent financial processes and workflows across all entities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Oversee financial processes and functions, ensuring efficiency, compliance and strong internal controls.
  • Complete data requests, financial analysis, and budgeting, and manage month-end and year-end closing responsibilities.
  • Work closely with senior and executive leadership to ensure optimal financial performance and support for strategic initiatives.
  • Develops and implements departmental goals, plans and standards consistent with the administrative, legal and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
  • Manages and evaluates departmental operations, including information technologies, service level determination and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
  • Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions and continuing education initiatives.
  • Assists with the preparation and evaluation of departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Requirements:

 

 

  • Master's Degree
  • 10 years of relevant financial management experience or a an equivalent combination of education and experience in healthcare.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role within healthcare finance.
  • Pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a track record of problem-solving and financial innovation.
  • Continuous awareness of changes in the healthcare industry and their impact of financial operations.
  • Experience in improving revenue cycle effectiveness and driving financial performance in healthcare organizations.
  • Proven ability to build, lead and coordinate an effective financial team.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing demands while maintaining a high level of performance.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
