Reporting to the Senior Director of Perioperative Services, the incumbent will work on behalf of the Perioperative Services leadership team and liaise with a variety of both internal and external stakeholders to assess and support the execution of business development and strategic planning opportunities. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the strategy development and deployment for targeted surgical service departments and corresponding alignment of the departments’ operations across interventional sites, including hospital licensed ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) and AAAHC ASCs. The incumbent endeavor to develop mutually beneficial solutions that align with aims from Perioperative Services leadership team and relevant surgical departments.
The incumbent will be responsible to serve as a key liaison to the Chairs of Surgical Departments to create, analyze, and align collaborative departmental and Perioperative Services strategies. The incumbent will be responsible for working with key stakeholders to develop short- and long-range goals that improve the overall market position, financial performance, utilization of resources, and ability to provide patient-centered care in a coordinated way. In collaboration with the Senior Director and Chief Operating Officer, the incumbent will provide high level business planning, financial analysis, strategic analysis and guidance to facilitate and direct decision making for internal customers for new system initiatives, including new ventures. This position has the following summary responsibilities:
Develop business plans, financial forecasts, and pro-formas for UCLA Health and Perioperative Services leadership, PSSC, and other key stakeholders to encourage robust decision making for surgical service planning, particularly in the health system’s ASCs both on the hospital license and in the community.
Responsible for supporting the integration of new affiliate organizations to UCLA Health; pre-affiliation, the incumbent will work with strategy, finance, and operational teams to assess risks, mitigation strategies, and overall cost-benefit analysis.
