We are offering an excellent full-time opportunity for a Dietitian to join our team of talented professionals who provide health care services to our veterans and their families at Luke Air Force Base in Glendale, Arizona.

Schedule: 
  • Full-Time
  • Monday - Friday, 7:00am – 4:30pm

 

 

The Dietitian must have the following qualifications:

 

 

  • One year of specialized experience in diet therapy after graduation
  • Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) or completion of a Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) accredited by the ACEND or completion of a post- Baccalaureate degree Dietetic Internship Program of supervised practice (for a minimum of 1200 hours) accredited by ACEND
  • Current registration as a Registered Dietitian from the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted dietetics license or certification
  • Graduated from a baccalaureate or graduate degree from an accredited college or university in a didactic program for dietetics approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Dietetic Association (AND)
  • Current registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), shall have and maintain an active, valid, unrestricted, current license if required and must be successfully granted provider privileges by the performance location Credentialing Committee and commander and maintain privileges
  • No less than three (3) years of experience in the last 5 years in health promotion, obesity & weight management and lifestyle counseling, including knowledge of the Diabetes Prevention Program Outcomes studies and the National Diabetes Prevention Program
  • Must have experience coordinating and facilitating group health education classes and activities, organizing and implementing outreach events, and working with both youth and adult populations
  • Unique Government Training: Must attend and successfully complete the first available Group Lifestyle/Balance Lifestyle Coach training at the performance location
  • Must have direct hands-on experience in the last 3 years with computer operations, basic word processing, data entry, and use/maintenance of automated electronic medical records is requiredshould be a role model in healthy lifestyle behaviors
  • Must have good verbal and written communication, ability to effectively communication with a wide variety of individuals, and use of technology to present and convey the information effectively

 

Due to contractual obligations with the DoD, Health Care Workers performing under this contract must either be a U.S. citizen, or as defined by the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, either a noncitizen national of the United State, lawful permanent resident of the United States, or alien authorized to work in the United States
