•ASCP Cytotechnologist certification – CT (ASCP) or SCT (ASCP)
•BD-SurePath Morphology certification
•Successfully passed CLIA mandated GYN (PAP) Proficiency Test for the current year. Exception: Recent graduates of Cytotechnology training programs do not need to take the PT during the calendar year in which they completed training
•Working knowledge of the essentials of normal and abnormal cytologic principles for GYN and NON-GYN (including FNA) specimens.
•Good organizational skills.
•Ability to maintain good legible records.
•Flexibility, time management, and ability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another according to section needs.
•Ability to work in large team setting and work closely with faculty, supervisors, peers and other customers/suppliers and patients.
•Preferred: ROSE (Rapid on-site evaluation) experience (school experience is acceptable).
