Organize and execute the various tasks associated with processing applications for staff membership and/or clinical privileges. Provide staff support to the Clinical Privileges Committee and all functions related to the maintenance of master clinical privilege documents.
Processing and review of initial and/or reappointment applications. Run data reports for various configurations of data, such as statistical reporting, network credentialing summaries, and various practitioner notifications. Provide staff support to the Clinical Privileges Committee Interacts with coworkers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.
College degree in business, healthcare administration, human resource management or other related field preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION:
Certification as CMSC or CPCS preferred.
- If not certified, willingness to become certified as a credentialing specialist after appropriate education and experience in accordance with eligibility routes established by the NAMSS Certification Council.
Minimum of two (2) years of hospital or managed care administrative or secretarial experience in one of the following fields: physician credentialing, personnel administration, medical records, medical education, medical administration or medical secretarial.
