Qualifications

Required:

Must be a certified cook with a Servsafe or equivalent safe food handling certification
Ability to maintain good personal grooming habits
Must have recent and extensive experience cooking in a medical institution or professional setting
Ability to read, write, and comprehend standard English and perform basic math
Ability to follow a standardized recipe
Knowledge and experience with fry grills, knives, meat slicers, steam cookers, ovens, food choppers and food mixers
Ability to work in a standing position for a long period of time; stretch, bend, walk, stoop and reach repetitively
Ability to work in hot, cold, and or wet areas, lift up to 40 lbs, and push loaded carts weighing up to 350 lbs
Ability to adjust to fluctuating work load and be flexible
Must have interpersonal skills to interact effectively with co-workers, customers, supervisors and managers, provide effective timely training, coaching and evaluation of staff
