Description:

Our Hospice Community Relations Representative promotes the mission of Mount Carmel Hospice and Palliative Care--compassionate end-of-life care, bereavement services, chronic disease management and related services. The Hospice Community Relations Representative is responsible for the implementation of sales and community education strategies. This involves interacting with hospice and palliative care stakeholders within the system and externally in the community to increase awareness and promote program clinical expertise and services. Primarily increasing contacts between Hospice and nursing facilities, assisted living centers - while producing sales analysis to identify new referral channels and continued opportunities.

Position has strong relationships with the identified leadership teams and clinical staff at these facilities along with our hospice teams. This allows us to quickly and efficiently respond to any issues that arise and regulatory changes that need to be worked through or communicated. Risks of not filling the position include weak relationships with our facility partners who may decrease referrals and Mount Carmel patients may be referred to another hospice.Position Purpose:

  • In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Hospice Community Relations Representative promotes the mission of Mount Carmel Hospice and Palliative Care-- compassionate end-of-life care, bereavement services, chronic disease management and related services

  • The Hospice Community Relations Representative is responsible for overseeing the implementation of sales and community education strategies. This involves interacting with hospice and palliative care stakeholders in the system and the community to increase awareness and promote program clinical expertise and services. primarily increasing contracts between Hospice and nursing facilities and assisted living centers , performing sales analysis and identifying new referral lines (70% of role); enhance relationships with physicians, community agencies, faith communities, s work collaboratively with Mount Carmel Marketing department to promote and support system marketing efforts as relates to this position (10%)

 

What You Will Do:

  • Business Development for hospice and palliative care with internal and external partners and future partners

  • Hybrid roles – expectation of local 5 days a week travel– radius Franklin County and 6 contiguous counties

  • Interact, market and speak with both clinical and business partners about Mount Carmel’s hospice and palliative services

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Communication, Marketing, Public Relations or related healthcare field with experience.

  • Experience: Minimum three years of health care experience; with two years of sales and marketing experience required

  • Effective Communication Skills

  • Ability to assemble community groups or individuals and to present information to them on topics of chronic disease management, advance care planning, and how to access hospice services
