The role is expected to deliver on 3 major responsibilities:

  • ChenMed Cares Employee Assistance Program

Creates, implements and leads a wholistic strategy around ChenMed Cares – an internal program that allows team members to assist other team members in times of emergency need, national crisis or unexpected tragedy.

  • ChenMed Cares Backyard Strategy

Creates, implements and leads the South Florida investment strategy.  Partners closely with Chen Family to strategize and execute on family giving (local, national and international).

  • ChenMed Cares Market Localization Strategy 

Develops localization strategy and supports the execution of local giving initiatives and team member engagement opportunities. Leads markets nationally to create local engagement strategies in line with priorities guided by the culture strategy statement as well as the Chen Family Foundation values.

Other responsibilities

  • Acts as a researcher and data analyst to draw insights (through focus groups, surveys, 1-1 etc.) to inform plans, create business cases, and codify undocumented knowledge into standard processes.
  • Leads workstreams, provides administrative and project management support, tracks progress of implementation, and provides bandwidth to complete deliverables.
  • Codifies and disseminates knowledge, introduces new frameworks, tools, or ways of using existing material, to increase productivity and reduce complexity.
  • Proactively builds relationships across the enterprise to stay current on organizational needs and identifies opportunities for Foundation support in new initiatives.
  • Leverages passion to coach individuals and teams to success by engaging at a deep level to drive lasting impact and guide team members.
  • Keeps an entrepreneurial and service-oriented mindset balancing personal, team, and enterprise needs to achieve Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
  • Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement.”
  • Collaborates with Culture leadership to strategize on the future of culture for the company driving towards becoming the Best Place to Work.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and modified at manager’s discretion.

  • Knowledge of non-profit regulations, reporting requirements and compliance

  • Financial acumen to be able to maintain and analyze financial records for the Foundation
  • Approachable and trusted advisor
  • Exceptional project management skills with a demonstrated ability to successfully plan and execute a variety of events; Agile / Scrum skills preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, database, and presentation software
  • Ability and willingness to travel locally, regionally and nationwide up to 25% of the time
  • Spoken and written fluency in English
  • This job requires use and exercise of independent judgment


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or similar field of study; additional experience above the minimum may be considered in lieu of the required education on a year-for-year basis
  • Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience working in the social impact space, partnering with local and national non-profits
  • Previous experience working for/with a family foundation or creating corporate giving guidelines and processes is preferred

The Manager, ChenMed Cares Foundation, in partnership with the Culture COE leadership, Chen Family members, and key executives assesses, designs, delivers and enriches ChenMed’s culture of improving the lives of our team members, patients, fueling ChenMed’s growth and making a difference in our world. The Culture Foundation Manager serves as a generalist capable of supporting a broad range of initiatives through team member giving in our headquarter market (South Florida backyard strategy) as well as local communities across the country. The incumbent will partner with COE and market leaders, as well as key external stakeholders to build relationships that nurture and implement local initiatives throughout the organization and communities we serve, aligned to our core values (love, accountability and passion), business goals, and desired outcomes. The incumbent will leverage knowledge, entrepreneurial drive, a growth mindset and proven leadership, communications, and problem-solving skills to build strong relationships and deliver results. Incumbent will work with multiple centers of expertise (COE) and external stakeholders to serve and influence Foundation strategic priorities throughout the organization. Day-to-day responsibilities will be shaped by the type of service required by the team and COE client.
