Position Summary

As the Cardiac Cath/EP Lab Clinical Unit Educator, you will play a critical role in advancing the knowledge and skills of our associates, ensuring high-quality care for all patient populations. Your responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs in a standardized manner. You will incorporate evidence-based practices into onboarding, continuing education, and simulation scenarios, collaborating with healthcare and leadership teams to support frontline staff. This role is essential to improving staff expertise and patient outcomes, ensuring patient-centered care. You will report to the Cardiac Cath/EP Lab Manager.

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Experience

  • At least 3 years of cardiac nursing experience

License/Registration/Certifications

  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) licensure to practice in South Carolina
  • American Heart Association certification as required by the Perioperative Department

Preferred Requirements

Preferred Education

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)

Preferred Experience

  • 3 years of experience in the cardiac cath/EP lab

Core Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate orientation and onboarding for Cardiac Cath/EP Lab clinical staff
  • Schedule all required training and continuing education for clinical staff
  • Organize and oversee nursing students, paramedic students, and shadowing experiences
  • Serve on hospital-wide committees to advocate for educational and patient care improvements
  • Administer annual competencies for clinical staff to maintain regulatory compliance
  • Maintain employee files and help ensure department meets regulatory standards
  • Participate in quality initiatives to improve patient care outcomes
  • Other duties as assigned
