Job Description

OverviewCenturion is proud to be the provider of mental health services to the Georgia Department of Corrections. 

 

We are currently seeking a full-time Catchment Counselor to join our team at Autry State Prison located in Pelham, Georgia.

Available Shift

30 hours per week; day shift

Responsibilities

The Catchment Counselor will provide for incarcerated patients in restrictive housing facilities that do not have Mental Health Departments, providing weekly visits to ensure that they have access to the behavioral health system within the Georgia Department of Corrections. This role provides mental health case management services and consults with a multi-disciplinary team in providing comprehensive mental health care. Catchment Counselors may also assist with on-site responsibilities at Autry State Prison as needed.

Qualifications

  • Masters level degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field from an accredited educational institution required.
  • Active mental health professional license in Georgia (LCSW, LMFT or LPC preferred).
  • Must show current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR certification.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience with direct care for individuals with mental illness preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.
