Position Summary: Responsible for providing cardiothoracic and cardiovascular surgery services for patients in the community, as well as, evaluate new patient consults and see follow-up appointments in the Outpatient Clinic. The surgeon will work closely with Intensivists, Cardiologists, Nurses, and Hospitalists.
Education/Experience: Graduation from an accredited school of medicine and three (3) years of clinical practice experience with routine and complex coronary work, valve repair and replacement and transcatheter valve procedures. Board certification/eligibility in Cardiothoracic Surgery.

Licensing/Certification Requirements: Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the State of Nevada. State of Nevada Pharmacy Board License to Prescribe Medications and DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certificate. Some positions may require one or more of the following certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA).
