QualificationsRequired:
6 months of experience handling a high volume of inbound calls in a call center environment.
Computer skills sufficient to communicate by email.
Verbal and written skills in English sufficient to communicate effectively with patients, doctors and staff.
Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with individuals of varied backgrounds effectively, with professionalism, patience and understanding.
Ability to prioritize tasks in a systematic manner to maximize efficiency.
Ability to demonstrate professionalism while dealing with the stressors of operating a multi-line telephone system.
Ability to work with frequent interruptions and to complete assignments in a timely manner.
High School DiplomaPreferred:
Minimum six months of experience working in healthcare.
Working knowledge of basic medical terminology.
Experience scheduling patient appointments in electronic system
One year of experience working in clinical teaching environment.
One year of experience working in ophthalmology practice.
Bilingual in English and Spanish
