Summary:
• The Associate VP of Perioperative Services provides strategic leadership for Perioperative Services line operations, including the implementation of business plans that support the continued growth and success of the facility and system.
• Responsible for 1 Director who oversees 5 supervisors & 15 units. Responsible for patient care services performed in the operating rooms (MOR, Day Surgery, Ortho Surgery and Eye Surgery units), pre-op units (MOR, Day Surgery, Ortho Surgery and Eye Surgery units), recovery room units (MOR, Day Surgery, Ortho Surgery and Eye Surgery units), Sterile Processing Unit, GI Labs (MOR and MT2),
• Provides operational oversight to ensure the financial viability of initiatives. Establishes and leads a cohesive governance structure that supports the hospital and physicians. Collaborates with key stakeholders, including department leaders within the service line at the hospital and clinic levels. Designs, plans and implements programs that balance the interest of the hospitals within the company.
• Responsible for communicating with physicians, staff development and retention, developing strategic plans, creating a vision for the respective service lines, overseeing budgets, communicating with regulatory agencies, providing proposals for business development, coordinating marketing efforts, providing operational guidance and spreading best practices.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment. Develops nursing and technical standards of clinical practice for supervised areas of responsibility. Develops policies/procedures for supervised areas of responsibility
• Responsible for patient, employee and physician satisfaction
• Participates in system development and strategic planning as indicated (CQVA and Peri-op Consortiums)
Other information:
• Current Arkansas Registered Nurse license.
• Master's degree required
• Evidence of successful progressive management experience with a minimum of 5 years in Nursing management
This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
