Summary:
Baptist Health seeks an attorney to join its legal department as Associate General Counsel. The Associate General Counsel will primarily provide and coordinate legal services related to physician contracting and related matters, including: employment agreements; physician- hospital agreements; joint ventures; independent contractor agreements; medical staff matters; compliance with regulatory requirements applicable to physician arrangements; and related issues. This position reports to the Chief Legal Officer of the system and will collaborate with peers to support Baptist Health’s healing ministry.

Other information:
Applicants must have a law degree from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law in the State of Arkansas.
Applicants must have at least five (5) years of experience in the practice of law and legal experience in physician contracting.
Applicants with relevant transactional experience unrelated to health care may also be considered.
A strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal and writing skills, experience drafting and negotiating agreements, the ability to manage numerous complex legal projects, and a commitment to the Baptist Health mission are essential.

Compensation to be determined commensurate with the applicant’s experience and
qualifications.
