Job Description
Memorial Medical Center
Admissions Representative is responsible for directing patients and/or relatives, visitors, and promoting positive guest relations. Responsible for the Admissions/Registration, Pre-Admissions, discharges, and transfer of patients. Accurately obtains demographic and insurance information while collecting or making financial arrangements on co-pays, deductibles, and self-pay accounts. Obtains insurance authorizations and/or pre-certifications, and verifies insurance coverage and benefits.
Job Requirements
Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Experience: Five years experience conducting prior authorizations insurance benefit verifications and strong knowledge of medical terminology.
