Bluegrass Community Hospital
Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possibly taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.
Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.
Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
Assists with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean and orderly.
Participates in ongoing performance improvement for the unit and the organization
Participates in continuing education for current clinical practice, hospital requirements and licensing requirements.
Provides quality patient care, works other than usual shifts as needed, works other than usual areas/units as needed, if qualified for duties required. Assigned on-call when necessary.
Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Education: X High school diploma or equivalent X Required
Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications: X Basic Life Support (BLS) Certifications:One of the following certifications are required:State Registered Nursing Assistant (SRNA)Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
