FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Days
Pay: $29.54 - $44.31 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
Summary:
Supervises daily staff activities for ophthalmic clinical support team.
Responsibilities:
- Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and levels including the supervising of onboarding, coaching and mentorship programs. Assist with career conversations and disciplinary actions.
- Supervises quality measures for ophthalmic clinical work-up and facilitates staff develop programs. Ensures staff compliance with clinical work-up competencies and protocols.
- Supervises the core-process administered by Clinical Coordinators and oversees the work of the Ophthalmic Preceptors.
- Performs staff responsibilities related to ophthalmic clinical work-ups to fulfill required service levels. Leads the handling and resolutions of complex issues and complaints.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED.
- 3 years sponsored training on the job, or ophthalmic internship
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider and Ophthalmic Scribe Certification, (OSA) or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) or Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist (COMT) or National Contact Lens Examiner Certification (NCLEC).
2 years of supervisory experience. 3
- 3 years sponsored on the job ophthalmic training, or ophthalmic internship.
- Preferred: 2 years of high intensity customer service experience.
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
