Summary:
Manages the daily operations of the department or assigned function to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives. Leads strategic sourcing of drugs, medical supplies and equipment, and services for Pharmacy department. Serves as key contact for manufacturers, suppliers and distributors.

Work Schedule: Full Time Days

Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization. Develops strategies to lower costs, negotiate and develop contract terms and conditions that offer the best value, mitigate financial and legal risk, and are consistent with service level expectations
  • Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
  • Analyzes market data to ensure contract prices are favorable for a large health system. Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
  • Prepares bids, and develops formal RFQ’s, RFI’s, RFP’s. Supports special projects and business analysis as requested.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 4 years of experience in supply chain management, contracting, procurement or value analysis.

Preferred:

 

  • Knowledge of pharmacy products.

The pay range for this position is: $52.33 - $83.73 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
