Listed is the base hiring salary range offered for this position. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to skills and experience. The salary range listed is just one component of the total rewards/compensation package offered to candidates.

Summary:
Under the Chief Academic Officer and Program Director direction, collaborates in the management of the Physician Medical Residency training program. Coordinates the educational and recruitment activities of the Sports Medicine program and serves as the assistant program coordinator for Family Medicine. High level knowledge of accreditation standards for Sports Medicine for Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and special Educational Requirements for physician graduate medical education programs. Assures program compliance with regulatory agency standards and maintains essential documents required for Program viability. Functions as liaison between residents, hospital departments, attending physicians, administration and outside institutions. Assists the Program Director of Family Medicine and Sports Medicine in managing Residency Program by ensuring that accreditation standards are met, educational activities which support the curriculum are established, departmental policies are created and enforced, and recruitment strategies implemented, so that a highly successful sports medicine physician residency program is maintained.
Responsibilities:
Administration and coordination of Sports Medicine Education program of contact for physician residents * Role requires flexible & adaptable works hours, e.g. special projects, completion of priority tasks, and after hours resident events. * Frequent, high level and clear communication (verbal, written, oral) with the Program Director is essential. * Coordinate weekly Graduate Medical Education (GME) team meetings and regular "huddles" to facilitate effective exchange of information. * High attention to all details pertaining to the Program * Attend annual Program Directors Workshops (PDW) and Residency Program Solutions (RPS) Symposium.
Coordinates recruitment activities for medical students, residents, faculty, and support staff for residency program. * Schedule interviews & track evaluations of interviewed applicants; prepare data for initial match rank list. * Administration and coordination of all residency applicant interviews; communication with applicants as necessary. * Write and revise recruitment brochures and all printed material forms, as well as all website information. * Create and order various give-a-ways for recruitment and interviewing. * Administration and coordination of all residency applicant interviews; communication with applicants as necessary. * Train administrative assistants on various projects. * Attend annual Resident and Medical Student Conference * Providing input into the resident selection process.
Provides Direct Administrative Support to program leadership. * Prepare agendas, attend Graduate Medical Education Committee Meetings. * Assist Program Director in development of departmental goals and objectives. * Alert Program Director of potential resident/fellow performance issues. * Understand and comply with the obligation to report any activity that appears to violate applicable laws, rules, regulations or the Code of Conduct to the Program Director. * Role model best practices responsibility and job function follow through. * Prepare letters of recommendation/verification. * Presence at the clinic, resident lunch and didactics is required. * Prepare and distribute didactic evaluations. Design and implement didactic evaluation tracking system * Reconcile Program Director and Director of Graduate Medical Education (GME) credit cards monthly * Develop, prepare and distribute quarterly DCE and clinical attending teaching reimbursement * Develop, prepare and track DCE and teaching attending academic appointments with U of A College of Medicine * Identify & track upcoming Accreditation Council Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) and Accreditation Data System (ADS) "events"; prepare/collate data for reports. * Track & distribute New Innovation duty hour logs; procedure & diagnosis logs; resident evaluations, teacher evaluations and Program evaluations. * Prepare Program Information Forms required by the Residency Review Committee (RRC).
Effectively utilizes and performs technical and analytical functions related to maintenance of multiple databases and various software programs including but not limited to: * Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) * National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) * New Innovations * Graduate Medical Education (GME) Track - America Medical Association (AMA)/Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) * ADS - ACGME
Institutional (YRMC) Administration * Collaborate in reviewing and interpreting institutional requirements as defined by the ACGME, training program requirements, hospital regulatory and accrediting agency policies and procedures to ensure compliance. * Ensure an appropriate education environment for the conduct of GME that enables the institution and the educational program to achieve substantial compliance with requirements of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) * Prepare reports for Institutional Review and Internal Review

Required: Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of higher education or health care administration experience.
Preferred: Master's Degree and Training Administrators for Graduate Medical Education (TAGME) Certification
