Overview

As a Speech Therapist, you will deliver comprehensive patient care by implementing treatment programs based on physician referrals and collaboratively developed care plans. Your responsibilities include assessing and training patients with a range of conditions including aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, and cognitive impairments. You will also specialize in managing voice disorders, including those related to laryngectomy, tracheostomy, and ventilator dependency. Expertise in dysphagia (swallowing disorders) is essential. Your role involves collaborating with healthcare teams to create and execute personalized treatment plans to address individual patient needs.

  • Patient and Caregiver Education: Teach patients and caregivers effective therapeutic strategies and compensatory techniques.

* SPEECH - Speech Therapist
* BLS - Basic Life Saving certification
