Overview

Are you passionate about ensuring the safety and well-being of patients, staff, and visitors in a healthcare setting? Beebe Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Corporate Safety Officer to lead our safety initiatives. In this dynamic role, you'll have the opportunity to develop and implement cutting-edge safety programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while fostering a culture of safety excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the formulation and implementation of Beebe Healthcare's Corporate Safety Program.
  • Ensure strict compliance with regulatory agencies, including The Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA, and NFPA.
  • Coordinate comprehensive Environment of Care activities, from drills to inspections, to guarantee readiness and preparedness.
  • Lead the charge in interpreting and enforcing Life Safety Code standards, ensuring a secure environment for all.
  • Collaborate closely with our Infection Prevention team to conduct Infection Control Risk Assessments (ICRAs) and implement necessary measures.
  • Chair the Environment of Care Committee and actively contribute to other relevant committees, driving positive change.
  • Serve as a liaison with safety personnel of other institutions and regulatory agencies, staying at the forefront of safety best practices.
  • Conduct thorough audits across departments, identifying areas for improvement and facilitating necessary changes.
  • Utilize data analysis to drive process improvements, ensuring continuous enhancement of safety protocols.
  • Educate and inspire our team to prioritize safety through effective communication and training initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Five (5) years of experience in healthcare facility safety, demonstrating a deep understanding of safety regulations and codes.
  • Knowledge of municipal, city, county, state, and federal statutes/regulations related to safety.
  • Highly organized with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, Internet, E-mail, and database software.

Competencies Skills

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle crisis situations with composure and professionalism.
  • Dedication to maintaining confidentiality regarding patients and team members.
  • Strong customer service orientation, ensuring a positive experience for all stakeholders.
  • Familiarity and experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.

Credentials

Education

Essential:

  • Associate's degree in a related field.
