Description:

Director of Pharmacy responsible for driving strategy and execution of outpatient pharmacy operations and opportunities, optimizing pharmacy business elements that bridge acute/non-acute spaces (340B, billing/reimbursement, rev cycle, procurement, etc), infusion, and other assigned areas by Regional Chief Pharmacy Officer.

In depth proficiency and field experience with 340B required.

Director will work collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team, and is responsible for managing performance, planning, financials, quality and safety in assigned areas. Functions within all standards policies, procedures, and guidelines of the organization and according to federal and state regulations.Why Mount Carmel?

About the job:

Director of Pharmacy, Business and Outpatient Services, will assist the pharmacist in assuring timely and accurate provision of medications to patients. Routine technician functions are performed under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. These functions may include unit dose dispensing, intravenous admixing, inventory control, record keeping and billing, and use of equipment and automated technology.

What we are looking for:

  • Education: Doctor of Pharmacy is preferred. Relevant Post-grad or comparable years of experience desired.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in a health plan environment; population health practice &/or policy experience desirable.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry terminology, program compliance, pharmacy pricing methodologies for both Part B and Part D agents, Effective Communication and Presentation Skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationship with providers, members, and MCHS leadership.
  • Knowledgeable on current treatment practices, with the ability to demonstrate continual learning related to new product and pharmaceutical developments, if degree is in pharmacy
  • Valid pharmacist License in the state of Ohio (or capacity to complete within 3 months).
