Sixteen years experience as a professional chaplain. Experienced clinician. Skilled in the art of spiritual assessment and the provision of proper pastoral care interventions. Experienced in the conduct of both verbal and written communications with entities of all socioeconomic, ethnic, governmental and ecclesiastical backgrounds. I have completed eight units of ACPE Clinical Pastoral Education.

I was able to complete part of my studies through the Palmetto Health Institute for Spirituality.
Experience
Responsible for the provision of religious support for over 3,800 Soldiers, civilians and Family Members. Supervise three Battalion Chaplains, three Chaplain Assistant and two Chaplain Candidates. Have overseen the supervision of religious support for five major field exercises to include the supervision of over sixteen junior chaplains. Provided pastoral care to Soldiers, civilians and Family Members.
Established a chaplaincy and pastoral education programs. Developed policies, procedures and and wrote job descriptions. Trained local clergy to be PRN chaplains. Recruited, trained, supervised supervised 14 PRN chaplains who covered 28 counties. Developed and administered curriculum for CPE students, providing supervision. Provided chaplain support to patients, caregivers and family members in the Ascension Hospice House. Assessed spiritual care needs and provided pastoral care as appropriate. Conducted memorial services.
Assigned to Palmetto Health Hospice Newberry Office as Staff Chaplain. Worked together with interdisciplinary team to conduct holistic assessments of patients, their caregivers and/or family members. Visited with patients, caregivers and family members in their homes, nursing homes and hospital. Established rapport with patients, caregivers and family members. Conducted spiritual and grief assessments of patients, caregivers and/or family members. Worked together with interdisciplinary team in order to provide holistic care to patients. Met regularly with the hospice interdisciplinary team in order to do case review and care planning. Provided pre/post-need grief support as necessary. Conducted grief support groups and memorial services.
Attended didactics, participated in group work (verbatim seminars, IDG, etc.) as well as personal reflections and verbatims. Assigned clinical work in Palmetto Baptist Rehab department, surgery waiting room, three Palmetto Senior Care Centers (Lexington/West Columbia, Eau Claire and White Oak), three City of Columbia Housing Authority senior high rises, and hospice.
