Experience: Over 34 years of ordained ministry--serving four congregations as a pastor, one year as a Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Chaplain Intern, and over 19 years as a military chaplain
Skills: proven leadership, supervision and management expertise; demonstrated ability to provide sound chaplain/pastoral care support in multiple, very diverse settings (both combat/traumatic and non-combat/non-traumatic settings); pastoral counseling expertise in addressing individual, marriage and family issues; ability to provide chaplain/pastoral guidance and care related to case note documentation, Living Will/End of Life Directives, legal and ethical standards, Â utilization of assessment tools, grief and loss counseling; multicultural competency; etc.
Experience
To fulfill the requirements for the Master of Arts in Community Counseling program at Regent University, Virginia Beach, Virginia, I completed 758 total hours in the performance of my duties and responsibilities as a Community Counseling Intern. Of these hours, 361.5 were direct client hours (individual, marriage and family counseling experiences).
