Serve as scrub surgical technologist handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. Having the understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. Having the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field. I obtain additional instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary while the surgical procedure is in progress. Duties are as follows:

As Assistant leading Petty Officer: Surgical expertise and mentored 10 surgical Technologist, both junior and senior. As Supply Petty Officer, was responsible for $500,000 of consumable goods and tracking approximately $5M of surgical equipment. Assisted in the massive cleanup and reconfiguration of the OR supply and SPD area. Inventoried and re organized trays for all surgical services with the estimate of saving cost of $150k.Was responsible for ordering supplies needed and identifying inefficiencies, which resulted in the procurement and tracking of $500k+ worth of surgical equipment and instrumentation for the surgical suite.
