Salem VA Medical Centeris seeking a physician to serve as the Assistant Chief, Primary Care at the Medical Center. The selected candidate will provide administrative, clinical, and programmatic leadership for the Primary Care Service Line outpatient programs at Salem VAMC to ensure achievement of quality healthcare and outcomes. These responsibilities include Community-Based Outpatient Clinics, Occupational Health, Comp& Pen, and inpatient on-call coverage on the Community Living Centers or inpatient services.
In addition to our continuing commitment to quality Veteran care, Salem VA Medical Center is also a teaching hospital and research center, maintaining both an active R&D program encompassing multiple specialty practices and three active medical school affiliations with the University of Virginia School of Medicine, the Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine.

Requirements: BE/BC in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or related specialty with administrative healthcare experience preferred.
